Sliger Consulting offers training and coaching to companies looking to transition to Agile methodologies. I specialize in the creation and growth of Agile software development teams and organizations, from the kick-off of a pilot team to the scaling of Agile across the entire division or company.

While training is a great way to help teams learn about Agile and figure out how to get started, nothing really replaces the lessons gleaned from actual experience. To fast-track your team in their Agile adoption, consider combining training with one or more days of facilitation and coaching. For example, after the team finishes the one-day Introduction to Agile workshop, I recommend using the next day to facilitate their first iteration planning meeting while their knowledge is still fresh.

In addition to providing team training and Certified ScrumMaster training, I am also available to work embedded with the team(s) for short periods until they are comfortable self-organizing. Sometimes a bit of training and a few facilitated planning meetings are all it takes to nudge a team toward agility, while other times it takes more of a day-to-day effort.

Who is Sliger Consulting?
Sliger Consulting is the company I created to serve the Agile needs of the software community—I am Michele Sliger. The first part of my career was spent in traditional software development using waterfall methodologies and the Project Management Institute’s best practices (I obtained my PMP certification in 1999). After learning about the Agile software development frameworks Scrum and Extreme Programming (XP) in 2000, I made the transition to Agile practices and never looked back! I truly believe in the values and principles that guide Agile practices, and have experienced greater success in product delivery as a result. I welcome opportunities to share my experiences with you, and help your team and your organization cross the bridge to Agility.
